Vermont Blockchain Inquiry

A project to gather information about efforts to utilize blockchain technology within state and local governments in Vermont.

In 2018, the Vermont legislature passed two laws meant to foster tech innovation by attracting “blockchain”-based businesses to the state. Now, several cities are exploring pilot projects with out-of-state blockchain vendors. This project aims to shed light on these projects and determine the extent to which buying unproven technology from out-of-state vendors really fosters innovation at home.
