To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Vermont Public Records Act, I am looking for official documentation regarding the city's relationship with Propy, a California-based real estate and "blockchain" startup.

Specifically, I am requesting:
1) Contracts, memoranda, or agreements with Propy.
2) Any policies on file regarding the city's use of the Propy system.
3) Technical or information technology documentation regarding Propy's land records system.
4) Any marketing or sales materials provided by Propy.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,
Brian Waters
Burlington, VT

From: City Clerk's Office

Good morning, The City of South Burlington agreed to be a pilot for the blockchain Propy and can withdraw from the pilot at any time. There were no agreements signed, no money exchanged hands, we are not on the Propy blockchain system and we are not promoting Propy in any manner. At this point in time I have only recorded one deed that, although it was considered a blockchain recording, was hand delivered into my office for recording with the appropriate fee.

If you have any other questions please let me know.
