pledgeforparity and explore America’s history through public records

March 8 is International Women’s Day. Born of socialist roots and now officially celebrated by the United Nations and multiple countries around the world, IWD is meant to be a global celebration of women’s achievements and progress, and MuckRock wants to help you join in this year.

As part of our #pledgeforparity, we’ll be accepting submissions and suggestions all week for new, double-X chromosome requests to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Each suggestion will be submitted free-of-charge and made publicly available. Information in the internet age deserves the equality for women and for all that has ever-been at the heart of human progress.
