To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Vermont Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Records of all liquor displinary violations, drug disciplinary violations, reports of rape, reports of fondling, and reports of statutory rape from student residence halls dating from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2019 (inclusive). I am requesting this information have the following information (but not limited to): exact date reported of the violation (e.g., the month, day, and year) and type of violation (e.g., liquor, drug, rape, fondling, statutory rape violation).

If this data can be given in a spreadsheet format (e.g., .xls, .csv, .xlsx) this would be most appreciated.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Michael,

I am writing in response to your message dated May 24, 2022. I apologize for the delay; the University has transitioned its records custodian duties to me. Due to the location of records that must be reviewed to respond to your request and because I must consult with other departments with substantial interest in the determination of the request, I am notifying you of our need to extend under 1 V.S.A. § 318(a)(5) our time for response to up to ten business days from the date of your request. Therefore, you will receive our response to your request by June 7, 2022.

I am writing in response to your follow-up message dated May 24, 2022 regarding your request for records. I apologize for the delay. The University has transitioned its records custodian duties to me.

I am attaching the available reports which are responsive to your request. Please note that each published report includes multiple years of data.

I have conducted a diligent search and have been unable to locate any records responsive to other data you are seeking, which is a customized report and Vermont's Public Records Act does not oblige the University to create custom reports. As required by the Vermont Public Record Act, 1 V.S.A. § 318(a)(4), I certify that those records requested do not exist.
