This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Any documents, physical or electronic, referencing Tacocopter and drones or unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, I hereby request that the FAA recognize my status as a media requester to reflect that I am submitting the present request in my capacity as a journalist working on a story for publication.
Here are two examples of my recent work:
The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This message is in reference to your FOIA Request 2015-006389 dated March 30, 2015 requesting "Any documents, physical or electronic, referencing Tacocopter and drones or unmanned aerial vehicles."
Your case has been assigned to our office for processing. We sincerely apologize for the delay; we are in the process of compiling the documentation that you are requesting. Due to the nature of your inquiry and to make sure that we provide you with all the information that you are requesting, we need to negotiate with you an extension of 10 days (weekday) from June 22, 2015. If you agree to the extension, the new due date for your case will be July 06, 2015. We will need this additional time to complete the processing of your request.
We also need more details regarding you case: can you please provide more information about the term "Tacocopter"? Is this an American company? Is there any specific location (city and state) where they conduct business? And also what kind of documents are you referring to; Certificates of Authorization? Cease/Desist letters?, receiving all the mentioned information will help us to respond you more efficiently.
