Hi Ms. Middleton,

Thanks for responding to this request. I believe there may be some confusion over my IPRA requests to DPS for documents related to New Mexico's participation in the federal DOJ's State Criminal Alien Assistance Program and Community Oriented Policing Services.

On 4/13/17, I sent my first request for these documents to Dianna DeJarnette at DPS. She responded through the MuckRock system (through which I am sending this message) asking that I forward my request to Regina Chacon.

I didn't forward the message to Ms. DeJarnette, however, and instead sent my request to Santana Nieto. Mariah Solano then followed up with me to say that my request was being processed on April 27.

As far as my understanding goes, I currently have two open requests at DPS for the same thing. I'd like to cancel the one that is less further along. I'm presuming it's the one I filed through MuckRock, because I only got a message (from you) stating that DPS would begin processing my request yesterday. On the other hand, Mariah Solano sent me a similar message on April 27.

Sorry for the confusion. I hope this clears up the matter. Please call me at 505-395-2908 if you have any more questions.

Thanks and all best,
Aaron
