Use of ALPR's

Pursuant to the Vermont Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Information regarding CSD's use of automated license plate readers (ALPR), including:

- Invoices, contracts, or agreements (including nondisclosure agreements) with ALPR technology vendors
- Policies or procedures regarding the use of ALPR technology
- Technical documentation and/or training materials for any ALPR system in use by CSD

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thanks very much for the response Brenda, and please thank the Sheriff for his letter, and for including a little extra information. I was seeking information on the currently-used system, and was unaware that it had been disabled.
