For years, Massachusetts has had a reputation for some of the country’s best universities, best sports teams, and worst public records law. Will the revisions that went into effect on January 1st finally change things? Join us February 2nd and let’s talk about it!
The event, co-hosted by the Society of Professional Journalists New England Chapter as well as the New England First Amendment Coalition, is free and open to the public. We’ll kick off at 7 p.m. at J.J. Foley’s in the South End of Boston.
I’ll be speaking, alongside some of the regions most experienced requesters, including:
- Massachusetts ACLU Legislative Director Gavi Wolfe
- Bay State Examiner Cofounder Maya Shaffer
- Boston Globe Reporter Todd Wallack
- First Amendment Attorney Peter Caruso
There will also be MuckRock stickers and other swag, as well as a chance to meet other members of the MuckRock team and nerd out about how to bring transparency to the Bay State.
Hope to see you there!
