Hi UW Office of Public Records and Open Public Meetings,

I have yet to receive said email.  Would you please double-check that
you entered the right email address?  It should be:

    requests@muckrock.com

Please note that the full address is 37 characters long and contains two
numbers and a hyphen before the at sign.  I ask because it appears you
may have used a truncated version of the address which goes to
MuckRock's "dead letter" mailbox rather than to me.
Thanks,

Kevin Wallace

Re: Public Records Request PR_2022_000543

Dear Requester:

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your public records request on 07/13/2022. We estimate we will respond to your request by 09/30/2022. As allowed by RCW 42.56.520, if additional time is needed to locate, review, or assemble documents, or to notify third parties affected by your request, we will contact you.

Additionally, please provide a mailing address should we need to contact you via US Mail.

If you need to contact us about your request, please have the request number noted above available. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact this office.
The University is piloting an online portal through which requestors can receive digital records. If you would like to opt in to this pilot project, please contact our office. The costs are as follows:

If you choose not to opt-in to the pilot program, our standard charges apply. See below:

Hi UW Office of Public Records and Open Public Meetings,

I'm writing in response to your acknowledgement letter for request
PR_2022_000543. Regarding your question about a mailing address, should
you need to contact me via US Mail about this request, please use the
following address:

MuckRock News
DEPT MR 131166
263 Huntington Ave
Boston, MA 02115

Please note that it should be addressed to "MuckRock News, DEPT MR
131166" rather than "Kevin Wallace", and may be returned as
undeliverable if addressed to "Kevin Wallace".

Regarding the method of delivery of records, my preference would be that
the University either send them as email attachments to
requests@muckrock.com, which will cause them to be
uploaded to MuckRock, or upload them to MuckRock via the link that was
included in the original request letter. I would be open to paying at
the "$0.05 for every 4 files, and $0.10 per GB" fee schedule if the
records were delivered in this manner. If this is not possible, I will
accept the records via CD/DVD at the postal address above, at the
standard per-disc rate.
Thanks,

Kevin Wallace

Re: Public Records Request PR_2022_000543

Dear Requester:

I am writing to you with an update on the status of your public records requests:
PR_2022_000543
PR_2023_000926

We will make every effort to respond to your requests in as timely a manner possible given the office's total workload and the resources allocated to our office. As of October 1, 2023, we have 373 open requests and over 1,407,542 pages of records waiting to be reviewed, analyzed, redacted, and released. As such, our office must balance the competing needs of many requesters. Some request small numbers of records that are easy to review and analyze. Others request large numbers of records or records that are complex and require a longer time to review.

In the interest of fairness, we make every effort to respond to requests in the order received. Therefore, we will proceed in processing your requests in the same manner, responding to the oldest before moving on to your next subsequent request. However as a one-time exception, if you would like to re-prioritize your requests, please email our office by October 20, 2023. If we do not hear from you by that date, our office will continue processing your requests in this manner.

If you have any questions, please contact our office.

Sincerely,

Susan Adams
