Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Washington State DSHS APSR reports the following statistical data for the year 2017, Please provide the following reported data broken down by County:

* There were 4,957 licensed foster homes in the state.
*There were 1,228 unlicensed home studies completed, which included unlicensed relatives and suitable others, and adoption home studies.
*There were 1,155 licensed foster homes with at least one Hispanic or caregiver of color at the end of FY 2017.
*There were 1,339 adoptions were finalized.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) received your request for records on 2/819. This responds to your letter under RCW 42.56. Please use the request number indicated above when contacting us about this request.

Child welfare, and adoption records, are confidential and no information will be released except to persons authorized to receive those records in accordance with RCW 13.50 and RCW 26.33, respectively. If the juvenile has turned 18 years of age they must provide an authorization for any information to be released. The parent does not have the ability to authorize release of information of an adult child

The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) estimates it will take up to 60 business days or until about 5/6/19 to find, review, copy and produce your request.

***Effective March 19, 2018, DSHS/DCYF completed the requirements of RCW 42.56.120 and WAC 388-01-080 and reinstated the ability to charge for production of public records, cost of media storage devices and postage. Please note records requests subject to billing may require prepayment. You will be notified if prepayment is required
