Hello,
This is not a commercial request. I am a journalist and MuckRock is a media outlet. Please update the fee category accordingly.
Thank you.

I previously sent you an email on (date) objecting to being considered a commercial requester. In order to avoid any confusion, I want to make sure that you processed that email as a formal appeal of the commercial fee determination.
Please supplement your record with the following information about my media credentials:
I am the founder and editor of the MuckRock (MuckRock.com) website, which publishes original news content on a daily basis. All of MuckRock's content focuses either on FOIA itself or reports off of documents received via public records requests. Below are a number of the dozens of articles I have written for MuckRock:
https://www.muckrock.com/news/archives/2013/nov/06/mr-de-blasio-open-nypd/
https://www.muckrock.com/news/archives/2013/oct/25/librarian-rebukes-nun-over-comic-books/
In addition to my capacity as fouder and editor of MuckRock, I am also a full-time journalist whose work has been published in such online and print outlets as the Boston Globe, Commonwealth Magazine, and the New York Daily News.
My professional biography and some recent articles for the Boston Globe:
http://www.bostonglobe.com/staff/morisy
My coverage of topics from national cybersecurity to privacy to government waste has been cited by a host of other news outlets at the international, national and local levels.
In short, it could not be clearer that I am, in fact, a journalist.

I apologize, I just realized that I included incorrect links in my 2/16/14 letter. MuckRock’s other editor, Shawn Musgrave, obviously wrote the three MuckRock articles I listed. I did not mean to take credit for Mr. Musgrave’s reporting, and I apologize for any confusion this has caused.
Here are the correct links to articles I have written on MuckRock:

Again, my apologies for any confusion or inconvenience, and thank you for your help processing this appeal.

We received the attached fax requesting information. The Public Information Act provides that a governmental body may ask a requestor to clarify a request for information if the request is unclear. Gov't Code Section 552.222(b).
Your request is not clear. If you are following up on the status of your February 28, 2019 request, that was completed when the emails were forwarded to you via email in the March 4, 2019 email you included in your fax.
Or did you want to submit the same request again to see if we have any additional information that is responsive?
If that was your intent, we have the same question as with the first request - is it intended to include/cover incoming emails received by Agency personnel from news publishers or subscription service providers which are sent (via blast emails) to persons who have signed up for or subscribed to those notices?
Also, would you clarify that, if this is a subsequent request, it can be limited to emails created or received after March 4, 2019, the date the response was provided for the previous request?
Please make these clarifications so that we may process your request. If you would like to discuss your request by phone, please provide a me with a telephone number and convenient time to call.
Thank you,
