From: Joseph Durso

Greetings DCSA FOIA staff,

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request all DCII, SII, adjudicative, investigative, or Standard Form records (or predecessors to any of these, as appropriate) regarding the physicist Dr. Freeman Dyson, who I believe was born on December 15th, 1923 in the United Kingdom, and who died today, Feb 28th, 2020, near Princeton, New Jersey.

I have attached a published obituary, which can be accessed at https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/28/science/freeman-dyson-dead.html

Dr Dyson was a renowned physicist who, among many other areas, conducted work related to the proposed Project ORION system of nuclear space propulsion, which was under development under DOD or USAF contracts to General Atomic in the mid 20th century. My understanding is aspects of the project were classified, and so suspect DCSA or its predecessor agencies may hold or have held records related to Dr. Dyson.

This request is not being made for commercial purposes. The requested documents will be made freely available to the general public on muckrock.com.

I would prefer the request be filled electronically, by portal upload or e-mail attachment if available, or CD-ROM if not.

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Joseph Durso
