Dear Mr. Morisy,

This is my final response to your 27 Dec 2013, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
2014-01661-F requesting “All rcds, including emails, in your agency's FOIA office discussing
the appropriate fee category for each of the following requests: 2014-00972-F and
2014-00821-F."
We have reviewed the information and withheld under Title 5 U.S.C. & 552 (b)(6) of the
FOIA. FOIA Exemption (b)(6) permits the government to withhold all information about
individuals in “personnel and medical files and similar files” when the disclosure of such
information “would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.”
Should you decide an appeal to this response is necessary, you must write to the
Secretary of the Air Force, Thru: SAF/AAII (FOIA), 1000 Air Force Pentagon, Washington DC
20330-1000, within 60 calendar days from the date of this letter. Include in the appeal, your
reasons for reconsideration, and attach a copy of this letter.
Please contact the undersigned at (703) 692-9978 should you have any questions and
refer to our case #2014-01661-F. Department of Defense Regulation 5400.7/Air Force
Manual 33-302 indicates fees be assessed for processing this request; however, there are
no applicable fees in this instance.
Sincerely,
DARRYL
