This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
A digital copy of the database called the "AF Radioactive Waste Site Registry", as defined in AFI 40-201, MANAGING RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS IN THE US AIR FORCE, paragraph 3.9.4:
"3.9.4. All suspected radioactive waste sites must be entered into the AF Radioactive Waste Site Registry, maintained by AF/A7CAN. The registry is a database of all formerly known and/or potentially radioactive waste sites. For reasons of posterity, privatization of land, occupational health, public health and public relations, it is imperative that the USAF maintain a master log of these sites. "
Office of Primary Responsibility listed is AF/A7CAN.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

The Air Combat Command has assumed responsibility for your FOIA request regarding unclassified imagery taken by U-2 aircraft, and stored within the databases at 480th ISR Wing of the following locations: Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, Holloman AFB, New Mexico, Vandenberg AFB, California, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Please search databases or physical records back to the 1980s for unclassified, releasable imagery of these locations
Your fee waiver was denied because the Secretary of the Air Force FOIA office has determined that anybody using Mudrock services will be classified as a commercial requester. Based on the amount of search time required, we need confirmation that you are willing to pay all fees.
Your request has been placed on hold and no search action has been started. You must provided clarification to pay fees and the maximum amount you are willing to pay in order for us to start search action. If we don't hear from you by 20 December 2013, your request will be closed and you will have to resubmit.

This is in response to your 10 November 2013, Freedom of Information Act request for documents relating to database called the "AF Radioactive Waste Site Registry", as defined in AFI 40-201, MANAGING RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS IN THE US AIR FORCE, paragraph 3.9.4:
We are processing your request; however, it is important that you clarify what exactly you are seeking. Because your request is to broad we are unable to properly process it. What type of information are you seeking? (1) Are you seeking the database itself? (2) Are you seeking the the records in the database (3) is there a particular timeframe? (4) and the location these records case be found.
In order to process your request, it is important that you clarify what exactly you are seeking. Identification of the record(s) desired is the responsibility of the member of the public who requests a record. The requester must provide a description of the desired record(s) that enables the Air Force to locate the record with a reasonable amount of effort. If we do not receive a response from you by 4 April 2014, we will consider this matter closed.
