Any indices or lists of closed counterterrorism investigations or terrorism related investigations carried out by the FBI.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

The FOIPA does not require federal agencies to answer inquiries, create records, conduct research, or draw conclusions concerning queried data. Rather the FOIA requires agencies to provide access to reasonably described, nonexempt records. Your request for “any indices or lists of closed counterterrorism investigations or terrorism related investigations carried out by the FBI” is too broad; it does not enable us to conduct a reasonable search. Please resubmit your request, providing more specific information that would enable us to locate potentially responsive records with a reasonable amount of effort; for example, a time frame, location, names of individuals, or event descriptions.
