This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Copies of all contracts, invoices and purchase documents for the Army Rapid Equipping Force acquisition of microdrones from the beginning of FY2010 to the day this request is processed.
The most recent purchased was reported in Wired: http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2013/11/army-maveric-microdrone/
Per the attached, REF indicated that DLA is one of the agencies with this information.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Troop Support has no NSNs or part numbers currently on contract for
microdones. A query of our system under microdrones also does not
indicate any purchases. Please provide a specific manufacturer name or
part number if you wish us to pursue this further. If we do not receive
your response within five days we will consider that you are no longer
interested in pursuing your request.

The manufacturer's name is Prioria Robotics.
Per the November 2013 Wired article:
Maveric has a bird-like profile with flexible wings, giving it the appearance of a raptor in flight. The drone, made of composite material, can fly as high as 25,000 feet and zip along at between 20 and 65 mph, making it just the thing for reconnaissance missions.

Earlier this fall, [Prioria Robotics] won a $4.5 million contract from the U.S. Army’s Rapid Equipping Force to produce 36 Maverics for an urgent, but undisclosed, need. Training the Joint Special Operations Task Force to use Maveric started earlier this month, according to Prioria, and fully-equipped delivery is expected in December.

A search of the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) (https://www.fpds.gov/fpdsng_cms/index.php/en/; see attached) shows that contacts with Prioria Robotics were awarded by the Dept of Navy and Dept of Army. Our records do not indicate that DLA has contracted with this company. I suggest that you send your request to the Navy and Army. If you believe DLA has the records you seek, please contact me via telephone so we can further discuss your request.
At this time, you have no open FOIA request with DLA for contracts with Prioria Robotics.

Attached is a copy of the two (2) Delivery Orders we have issued for equipment manufactured by Prioria Robotics supporting US Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF). The associated part numbers are listed on the Orders themselves and they were for small reconnaissance Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). Please let me know if you require anything further.

Please advise as to whether the documents you sent correspond to the above procurements. If not, please provide documentation as indicated in the letter from REF.
Per the letter, I have also cc'd Captain Schweichler in case he may be of help tracking down these procurement documents.
