Thank you for the prompt response.
It appears that instead of sending the record itself, you created a new record by printing the record, digitizing (scanning) the hard copy, and assembling those images into a single PDF. This is much less useful to the public than the electronic record itself is. Among other potential problems, we can't search it by machine and we can't copy the data without transcribing it. Would you please provide the record in its native electronic format?

Unfortunately, when the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney's Office downloads the Brady List from the database, it comes out in a PDF format.
We were able to turn the list into the attached Word Document and PDF-Searchable document.

Dear Ms. Baldwin:
Thanks! Though not quite what I hoped to receive, the proprietary word processor file and "searchable" PDF are very helpful. I don't believe this constitutes me having received the record in its native electronic format (which presumably is a database file meant intended for use by machines, not by people), but I am amenable to receiving this derivative work instead.
Can you tell me to what you meant to refer as "the database" when you wrote that of your office downloading the Brady list from it? In other words, what software is used to maintain and access this list?
Also, in case I or someone else would like to request it, can you tell me what record would hold the key to the numeric values in the "agency" column of your Brady list?
