Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:

Any and all written records (including but not limited to hard-copy documents, memos, emails, word processor documents, PDF documents, PowerPoint files, etc.) created, received, FWDed, CCed, or BCCed by members of the police department between March 22, 2018 and the date this request is processed (inclusive of those dates) regarding the "Affirmation of Shared Principles" of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Requester:

This email is in response to your recent request, Request Number: 77-2021 made under the Freedom of Information Act. Section 3(d) of the Freedom of Information Act provides that the five-day response period may be extended for up to five additional working days for a limited number of reasons. Specifically:

Subsection 3(e)(i) states that the response time period may be extended if “the requested records are stored in whole or in part at other locations than the office having charge of the requested records”

Subsection 3(e)(ii) states that the response time period may be extended if “the request requires the collection of a substantial number of specified records”.

Pursuant to Subsections 3(e)(i) and 3(e)(ii) we are notifying you of the Village’s intent to extend the time needed to research your request an additional five days. Your FOIA request will be completed no later than February 9, 2020.
