Pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following records:
• All correspondences, reports, memos and documents created between 1960 and 1993 that contain the word “vermiculite.”
• All documents related to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's investigation of the MacArthur Company in St. Paul in 1980.
• All complaints received by Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry between 1960 and 1993 originating from employees of the Great Northern Railroad, Burlington Northern Railroad or Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and relating to work performed in the state of Minnesota.
• All warnings, citations, or fines the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry issued to the Great Northern Railroad, Burlington North Railroad or Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad between 1960 and 1993.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Kevin: The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry received your data request for records relating to railroad employers performing work in Minnesota.
Yet, I need some clarification as to whether the "warnings, citations or fines" is just for "vermiculite"? Or for every citation issued to this employer by Minnesota OSHA during 1960 to 1993?

Thanks for the clarification, James. I'd like every citation issued to these employers by Minnesota OSHA during 1960 to 1993. Presumably, this will encompass any warnings, citations, or fines re vermiculite, but also include areas where the word "vermiculite" would not likely be named or mentioned.
