Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all flight records, maintenance records, fuel bills, receipts or correspondence relating to the Bell 407 (N407SR) owned by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. The Date range is from 1/1/2020 to today (3/9/23).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I was wondering if to cut down on costs a little bit if I changed the date range to 1/1/22 to today. Let me know if this would work.

Good morning, Mr. Crawley:
Since we are awaiting receipt of funds ($45 estimate) prior to commencing search and retrieval in an effort to locate potentially responsive documents, we cannot, at this time, estimate the amount of time that we will spend in the search and retrieval process. See R.I. Gen. Laws § 38-2-4(b)
Further, as of this date, we do not know the number of responsive documents (located via search and retrieval) that we will need to copy. See R.I. Gen. Laws § 38-2-4(a)
Therefore, as to cutting “down on costs a little bit”, I cannot confirm that a date change would lessen the cost estimate, as the array of documents requested is quite broad.
As a reminder, in our previous letter sent to you (attached), we confirmed that any unused funds will be returned to you.
Please confirm the date change to 1/1/2022 – 3/28/2023) and advise as to payment of the search and retrieval cost estimate so we may proceed.
