Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All case files and communications (e.g. target letters) related to the trial of Monique Brady who pleaded guilty in July 2019 to one count each of wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and obstructing an IRS investigation.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Coates:

We have received your request (attached) for documents in the above-captioned case. Unfortunately, the US District Court is not covered under the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act and case documents filed in our court are accessible by the public and yourself remotely by signing up for an account with the PACER Service Center. Access to case information via PACER costs ten cents per page and the cost to access a single document is capped at $3.00, the equivalent of 30 pages. Litigants receive a free electronic copy of each document in their case, the public has free access to case information at the courthouse, and judges' opinions are available for free. Keep in mind PACER will not send you a statement, unless you exceed $30.00 in any quarter.

If you decide you want to receive the documents from the court under separate cover, the court will charge $0.10 per page for each page being sent to you.

Please let me know what your preference is and which documents you are interested in receiving, if you choose to have the court send you copies. I have attached a docket sheet for your reference.
