Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
All contracts, memorandums of understanding, and other agreements entered into between this Department and any agency of the Federal government (including, but not limited to: Bureau of Prisons; Citizenship and Immigration Services; Customs and Border Protection; Department of Homeland Security; Executive Office for Immigration Review; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; U.S. Marshals Service)
This request is being made as part of an ongoing investigation into the nature of the national criminal justice system. The requested documents will be made available to the general public. This request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

We have received your request, which was apparently first sent on July 22, 2015, and then sent again on August 6, 2015. We did not receive the request sent on July 22. It appears that it may have gone to our quarantined messages.
We will begin a search for the records you have requested, as follows: all contracts, memorandums of understanding, and other agreements between the Sheriff's Department and any agency of the Federal government, including but not limited to Bureau of Prisons, Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection, Dept of Homeland Security, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Marshals Service.
We expect to be able to advise you within three weeks of the number of records available and the cost to obtain them.
