AFSCME, Janus, Mark Janus, right-to-work or right to work legislation, right-to-work or right to work policies, right-to-work or right to work court rulings, RTW, labor, unions, agency fees, AFSCME, SEIU, AFT, NEA, 32BJ, Buckeye Institute, Ashbrook Center, 1851 Center for Constitutional Law, Commonwealth Foundation, collective bargaining, union contracts, Freedom Foundation, American Legislative Exchange Council, ALEC, State Policy Network, SPN, Americans for Prosperity, Bradley Foundation, and the Mackinac Center.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

* With regard to your request, the House Speaker's Office is comprised of several teams, including his 1) direct staff, 2) legal team, 3) policy team, and, 4) communications team. Including all in this request may take a significantly longer time for it to be satisfied. Accordingly, please advise if you wish to limit it to Speaker Smith and a particular staff team.

As an initial matter, can you please clarify the date scope of your request?
Additionally, please note that the Ohio House does not maintain records kept by the Ohio Senate, or those of the Senators listed in your request. Accordingly, there are no records regarding this aspect.
Your request as it applies to ALEC and other keyword search terms will likely populate a large number of press and media clips, which will also need to be reviewed by the legal team prior to fulfillment. To expedite your request, do you want to limit your request to exclude such press records or limit it to personalized correspondence?
Finally, please note that our office serves as legal counsel for the entire House Republican Caucus, which is responsible for all 66 republican offices. We have also recently been processing a large number of additional requests and there are still many pending requests received prior to your request.

Thank you for your email. We are continuing to process this highly voluminous request, and many others still remain in line ahead of it. Our anticipated timeframe remains unchanged.
Please note that on 8.8.2018, I wrote to you explaining part of the reason why this is such a massive undertaking. That email is attached for reference. I did not hear back from you, and we have thus continued to instruct offices to print all responsive records populated by keyword searches - including huge amounts of press clips - while working with IT. (Working with IT is an additional required step for such an expansive keyword search.)
