Pursuant to North Carolina Public Records Law (G.S. §§ 132-1 through 132-10), I hereby request the following documents:

Apple, Inc’s annual recycling report submitted for compliance with North Carolina’s Electronics Management / recycling program for 2015, and 2016 (if available), as well as any other documents that show compliance with the program. Apple’s “Computer Equipment Recycling Plan” for 2015, 2016, and 2017 (if available). Any documents that list the specific e-waste recycling centers used by Apple to fulfill its manufacturer e-cycling obligations as well as the quantity and type of electronics that were recycled on Apple’s behalf.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. They will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE's science and tech site (www.motherboard.vice.com).

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request, and I ask that it be processed in the "media" fee category. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Please find attached: the annual reports for Apple for 2015 and 2016, the most recent recycling plans (they are not submitted annually if there are not any changes), and the most recent registration. The 2017 information is not yet available.

Note that the North Carolina Electronics law covers consumer products only in the following categories: televisions, computers (desktop, laptop, and tablet), printers which print on paper, and monitors.
