I am responding to your email yesterday requesting any additional info regarding the source of delays on this request. Please be assured that we make every effort to respond promptly to every request. However, we must also ensure that we are diligent and accurate in our reply. Thus, when obtained, all documents and emails must be reviewed. Additionally, we must rely on the state agency that controls the entire state email system to identify and provide the emails requested. As you can imagine, the process takes time.
As to an estimated response date, in our letter of August 1, 2023, we noted that we intend to respond by September 6, 2023.

Thank you for your inquiry and please accept our apologies for the delay.
As Mr. Scroggins noted in his August 3, 2023 email regarding our projected response, we always try to be prompt. But as you might guess, the request references a large number of records. As he said, we must thoroughly review all records to identify and obtain the responsive documents from both external and internal sources. It is a complex and time-consuming process.
I am confident that we will have documents ready to provide on or before the December 6th, 2023, date noted in our recent communication.
