Mexican police operations in New Mexico

Pursuant to the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, I hereby request the following documents:

An index of files relating to Mexican police basing or staging operations in New Mexico or Fort Bliss. Please limit this request to all responsive documents generated from Dec 31, 1999 and the date this request is processed.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear New Mexico Army National Guard,

Thank you for sending me Col. Kenneth A. Nava's December 6 memo stating that the New Mexico Army National Guard "has no records associated with Mexican military staging or basing operations in or from New Mexico."

I sent you two FOIA requests in December 2013. One, sent December 3 from a different email address, was about Mexican military. It asked for "files relating to Mexican military staging or basing operations in or from New Mexico or Fort Bliss. Please limit this request to all responsive documents generated from Dec 31, 1999 and the date this request is processed." Col. Nava's memo answers that question. Thank you.

However, my other FOIA, sent December 9 from this email address, was about Mexican police, NOT Mexican military. It asked for "files relating to Mexican police basing or staging operations in New Mexico or Fort Bliss. Please limit this request to all responsive documents generated from Dec 31, 1999 and the date this request is processed."

You sent the same December 6 memo from Col. Nava as a response to that December 9 FOIA of mine about Mexican police. But Col. Nava's memo regards Mexican military, not Mexican police. I am thus still waiting for an answer to my FOIA seeking files relating to Mexican *police* basing or staging operations in New Mexico or Fort Bliss.

To be clear, you sent Col. Nava's memo about no Mexican military records in response to both my Mexican military FOIA and my Mexican police FOIA. So I'm still waiting on a response regarding Mexican police.
