Pursuant to the New Hampshire Right to Know Law, I hereby request the following records:

All current policies maintained by the department regarding vehicle pursuits (also known as: car chase, vehicular response policy, vehicular pursuit procedure, fleet crashes).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

I'm writing to acknowledge your request pursuant to RSA 91-A, dated July 21, 2023 and received on July 21, 2023 requesting access to public records, specifically:

"All current policies maintained by the department regarding vehicle pursuits (also known as: car chase, vehicular response policy, vehicular pursuit procedure, fleet crashes)."

Regarding the request for the report, in light of the scope of your request and the workloads and availability of personnel participating in the processing of your request, I estimate that 30 days will be reasonably necessary to determine the extent of available records in accordance with RSA 91-A and applicable case law.

Good morning, regarding your recent request, the responsive documents are attached. I believe these policies encompass the information you are looking for, however I am not sure what is meant by “vehicular response policy.”

Please note that Records and information compiled for law enforcement purposes have been redacted and withheld that constitute techniques, procedures and guidelines for law enforcement investigations whose disclosure could reasonably be expected to risk circumvention of the law and whose disclosure could reasonably be expected to endanger the life or physical safety of any individual, including law enforcement officers. 38 Endicott Street North, LLC vs. State Fire Marshal, 161 N.H. 656, 661 (2012).
