Re: Right to Know Request

Dear Sarika Ram,

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is in receipt of your request for information under the right to know law.

Pursuant to the New Hampshire Right to Know Law, I hereby request the following records:

-Any informational and educational materials distributed in correctional facilities about housing options available to inmates post-release

Housing information is distributed on a case by case basis depending on the need of the incarcerated individual. I have attached some examples of what could be distributed based on need.

-Any currently valid policies/procedures detailing Department reentry services specific to accessing housing options post-release

This topic is not in policy as the information and housing options available are constantly changing.

-Any statistical reports detailing admission and release trends from between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017

The 2017 population report is attached.

-Any statistical reports detailing recidivism data from between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017
Recidivism is done with a 3 year cohort so the most recent year available would be 2014.

-Any statistical reports regarding inmates' housing status prior to and following commitment to the Department from between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017

We don't have any reports based on their address or housing status either before or after incarceration.
