Sure -- please call me when you have a moment at 956-212-2417. I should clarify that I am most interested in disbursement documents detailing how the $2.96 million in Homeland Security Department (DHS) grants was distributed to Las Vegas. Thanks.

From: Karen L. Hall

Good afternoon Mr. Cantu:

Thank you for taking our call this morning regarding your request for information on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) distribution of Federal Fiscal Year 2016 funding pertaining to the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), State Homeland Security Program, and the Emergency Management Performance Grant Program. After our discussion, it is our understanding that you are interested in the dispersion of funding to the Las Vegas Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) for FFY2015, with the understanding that you would also like to see the same dispersion of funding for FFY2016 when it becomes available to help you with your research on the federal process of UASI funding allocations.

Please find enclosed the following items:

§ Spreadsheet indicating the FFY2015 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant Awards for Nevada; and

§ FFY2015 Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Homeland Security Grant Program.

If you require additional information, please let us know.

Respectfully,

Thanks so much -- this is probably the most painless information and responsive request I've ever pursued. I will be standing by for the 2016 disbursement.

From: Karen L. Hall

Good morning Mr. Cantu:

As part of your records request earlier this year, you had indicated that when the 2016 federal disbursements were finally allocated and logged for the UASI in NV, that you would like documentation showing the breakdown of allocation awards.

Please find enclosed a .pdf showing the total allocations per subgrantee for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2016 per your request. A copy of the 2016 Notice of Funding Opportunity is also enclosed for reference.

Have a wonderful day, and Happy New Year!
