According to documents from the October 10, 2023 Minneapolis School Board meeting, the Superintendent's report stated: "Request for Proposals for vape detection systems being finalized
and will be posted shortly"

Pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following records:
- A copy of the published Request For Proposal for vape detection systems.
- A copy of all submitted Request For Proposal applications submitted to the district, including all RFP documents, budgets, and other application materials.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

A document has been released for record request #24-83 along with the following message:
Hello:
A copy of RFP 24-11: Vape Detection Program is being released to you.
MPS has not yet executed a contract with a selected vendor. Accordingly, the proposals received in response to the RFP are nonpublic data at this time, pursuant to section 13.591 subd. 3 of the Minnesota Statutes.
Per the same statutory subdivision, the name of each responder becomes public data on the due date for proposals. The following entities submitted a proposal: Affinitech.; Parallel Technologies; Soter Technologies; The Center for Effective School Operations; and Zeptive.
Once a contract is executed, MPS will provide to you copies of the proposals.
If you would also like a copy of the contract, please respond and indicate the same.
