Hello,

This is an appeal under the Freedom of Information Act.

On April 23rd, 2021 I requested documents from the Milwaukee Police Department under the Freedom of Information Act. My request was assigned the following reference number: L06618. On June 2nd, 2021 I received a received a partially completed request, however the ages of officers were denied under Wis Stat. 19.36(10)(a)

I would like to appeal this denial - The very same section of the statute - 19.36(10)(a) - also states that "Information maintained, prepared, or provided by an employer concerning the home address, home electronic mail address, home telephone number, or social security number of an employee, unless the employee authorizes the authority to provide access to such information." There is no specific mention of age anywhere within.

I would also ask that these documents be provided in their original electronic format (see Lueders v. Krug, Wis: Court of Appeals, 2nd Dist. 2019 )

Attached you will find my original request as well as its corresponding response from the agency.

Thank you for your consideration of this appeal.
- J. Ader
