To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Maryland's Public Information Act ("PIA"), I hereby request the
following records:

A copy of all emails, including attachments, sent by or received from the
university email address of Professor Robert H. Nelson (School of Public
Policy ) containing one or more of the following words or phrases: "land
transfer", "national monuments", "American Lands Council", "Mercatus
Center", "Koch", "Independent Institute", "Property and Environment
Research Center" and/or "PERC". This request pertains to records produced
between January 2011 and the date this request is processed. If possible, I
would like to receive the records in electronic format.

I am a reporter for Pacific Standard magazine, and the requested documents
will be made available to the general public. This request is not being
made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform
me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer
the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or
CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I
look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business
days, as the statute requires.

associated with your request. However, by using MuckRock's boilerplate

Good morning,

I just received this thread and am confused. It misrepresents the actual
status of your Nov 30, 2017 filing.

I’m willing to accept your revised records request — shared with me by
Ombuds Kershner — with a Feb 1st filing date. Responses and deadlines will
be calibrated using that date. As a courtesy, though preferred, you don't
have to formally file through our portal.

Thus, your Nov 30, 2017 request is deemed withdrawn and that case closed.
