FBI information concerning ByteGrid LLC, AltPoint Capital Partners (Office of the Governor)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any reports, notes and/or memos originally authored by the FBI and provided to the Maryland Office of the Governor and/or Secretary of State's office concerning the security risk posed by ByteGrid LLC and/or AltPoint Capital Partners. In July 2018, public media reporting suggested that ByteGrid LLC, an election technology vendor used in Maryland, was owned in part by AltPoint Capital Partners, a firm led by a Russian oligarch with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The documents I am seeking relate specifically to the warnings about ByteGrid LLC provided to the state government by federal agencies.

I would appreciate a response to my inquiry to the extent possible.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
