Pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Law (Code Chapter 22), I hereby request the following records:

Documents on damage to steel valves or pipe of the North Dakota Access Pipeline in Mahaska County, IA, said damage occurring in March 2017, reported between March of 2017 and July 2017. Documents or records of media contacts by law enforcement requesting non-publication of reports of damage to steel valves or pipe of the North Dakota Access Pipeline in Mahaska County, IA.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I checked with our investigations unit (Chief Deputy Scott Miller), the agent assigned to this case from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (Agent Molly Amman)and our legal counsel (Mahaska County Attorney). I am unable to fulfill your request for this information, as this continues to be an on-going investigation.
