Journalism Classes

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Louisiana Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

-A spreadsheet of all public high schools in the state of Louisiana that offer a journalism course during this academic year (2019-2020)
-A spreadsheet of all student-ran media groups within all public high schools in the state of Louisiana. This spreadsheet should include the newspaper or news magazines with a corresponding link, if any, with its corresponding school in which it is housed.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Thanks so much for your help with this request! I really appreciate it. One question that I do have regarding the data is just receiving any description of the class codes that you offered for this data. For example, could you send me the description of each of these courses:

-50601 (Journalism I)
-50602 (Journalism II)
-50699 (Journalism Elective)
-50605 (Publishing I - Newspaper)
-50606 (Publishing II - Newspaper)
