All current policies maintained by the department regarding use of force.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Record Requested: All current policies maintained by the department regarding use of force
The initial response to your request for public records will be made within five business days (per RCW 42.56). Within that response period, we may complete your request, deny the request, or inform you that additional time is needed to process your request. If more time is needed, an estimated date of completion will be provided.
Effective October 1, 2017, the fees for public records are as follows:
• Paper copies - $0.15 per page
• Public Records scanned into electronic format - $0.10 per page
• Every four electronic files or attachments uploaded to email, cloud based data storage service or other means of electronic delivery - $0.05
• Transmission of public records in an electronic format or for the use of city equipment to send records electronically - $0.10 per gigabyte
• The actual cost of any digital storage media or device provided by the city, the actual cost of any container or envelope used to mail copies and the actual postage or delivery charge
• Effective 1/1/2022, Longview will charge $41.80 per hour redaction fee. A 10% deposit will be required before the request is processed.
