We are about to start a research project that would require information on the dates of operation and territory reached for all television station in the U.S., from 1985 to 2000 (including those that were operating before 1985 and those that closed before 2000). When using the Facilities Search publicly available online, we find for every TV channel the city in which it operates, but not the date since which it does. This is the information we are looking for.
