Pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
Legal and operational guidances, presentations, training materials, and other documents providing guidance specifically related to authorities, protocols, and procedures for Iowa State Patrol deployments to the U.S. southern border region to assist immigration enforcement authorities with law enforcement and border protection/interdiction objectives and issued between May 1, 2021 and the most recent date available. If any such documents are subject to withholding, redactions, or deletions, please provide explanations.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEMD) has completed your Aug. 13, 2021, records request for documents providing guidance related to authorities, protocols, and procedures for Iowa State Patrol deployments to the U.S. southern border region.
Two documents were responsive to your search. Redactions were made to document #1, EMAC Resource Support Agreement, in accordance with Iowa Code sections 22.7(5) and 80G.2. Document #2, Texas Department of Public Safety Fragmentary Order 4 to Operation Lone Star Operations Order, is withheld in its entirety in accordance with Iowa Code sections 22.7(50) and 22.7(65).
