Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of the application submitted by the Mayor's Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security for the Department of Homeland Security's FY 2016 Countering Violent Extremism grant.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, the City of Houston provides the Houston CVE Program Narrative, which includes an Executive Summary, Technical Merit, Needs Analysis, Expertise, and Budget Detail and Narrative. Please note that the narrative is an application, not a grant award. While the Department of Homeland Security has made preliminary announcements regarding awards, the City of Houston has not yet received an official award statement. Please note the proposed budget in the narrative is more than the reported award amount.
