Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records for every sworn officer and civilian member of the Harford County Sheriff for fiscal year 2022:
1. First and last name;
2. Unique sequence number;
3. Race;
4. Gender;
5. Hire date;
6. 2022 salary;
7. 2022 overtime
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. Alternatively, please consider waiving any fees, pursuant to § 4-206(e)(2)(ii) of the General Provisions Article, as this request is on behalf of individuals served by the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, a state government agency, which solely serves indigent citizens of Maryland. As a result, my request for the above-listed public records is in the public interest. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

I spoke to our HR department, and we do not currently have a report that will run a fiscal year for the requested information. If you wanted the information that was current (as of today), we do have a report that we can run and provide you the information except for #7. The Harford County Government Payroll Department would have a report that they could run for the fiscal year 2022 with the requested information including #7.
#7 on your request for overtime, that information would need to be requested from the Harford County Government Payroll Department as we don’t have access to that information.
Please let me know if you wish to amend your request or if you prefer to obtain the information from the Harford County Payroll Department.

Yes, but if you could specify the span of time covered in your response -- ie include the start date and end dates for the salary information being disclosed -- that would be helpful.

If I understood HR correctly, it would be the date the report was run, but yes, I’d include the date that it was captured.
