Pursuant to the North Dakota Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
I’m requesting video and photos collected by law enforcement through the use of FLIR/Infrared/IR/thermal/nightvision, during the Dakota Access Pipeline protests which occurred between September 1st, 2016, and March 1st, 2017 in North Dakota.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

We received your request and are working on fulfilling it. Our agency Provides the first hour fulfilling the request for free. Any additional hour results in a $25/hour fee. We are currently in the 3rd hour of gathering documents requested. The files requested are too large to forward over an email system. We would be open to you providing us a flash drive or external hard drive to put the information on or we could also purchase them and bill that as well. At this time I do not anticipate the costs going beyond $200, depending on how many external drives we need to purchase. Please let me know how you would like to proceed with maintaining the data. Thank you.
