Hi, I would prefer email if that's okay!

From: Everett Police Department

Bridget,

I suffered a fall down a flight of stairs and sustained a serious shoulder injury, which required extensive surgery. My recovery took me out of the office for months and left my primary arm/hand in a sling for several months. My return to work has been recent, and I am working diligently to respond to your request, and to ensure that EPD is responding to your request in full. I anticipate that your responsive records will be made available, as soon as possible.

Respectfully,

Jeanne

From: Bridget Brululo

Thanks,
Bridget

Hi Jeanne,

I just logged into my account in the Public Records Center and I don't seem to see any files uploaded to request D005562-112420. Could you double-check that the files have been uploaded? Alternately, sending the installment over email would be great.

Thanks,
Bridget

Hello Jeanne,

On 8/26/2021, I received an email from you indicating that "EPD has uploaded an installment of responsive records to your request via GOVQA". Then, on 10/12/2021, you posted through the records portal that "the Everett Police Department anticipates that it will respond to [me] on, or before, October 15". RE: PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST of November 24, 2020, Reference # D005562-112420
Dear Bridget Brululo,
The Everett Police Department received a public records request from you on November 24, 2020. You requested the following:
"To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

- The 54 deleted tweets mentioned in this tweet: https://web.archive.org/web/20201121030914/https://twitter.com/EverettPoliceWA/status/1329983974374948866
- Any other tweets deleted in 2020
- Any emails since 11/19 mentioning "twitter" or "tweets" (case insensitive)

If other tweets are found to be deleted in 2020, please indicate the tweets that were part of the 54 mentioned in the above tweet. Additionally, if you require additional time to search for deleted tweets other than the initial 54, please provide those in a later installment.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

The next installment of records responsive to your request is available to you now in the City of Everett Public Records Center. Click the link below this message to login to the Public Records Center and retrieve the records.
The EPOA twitter account is a private account that is not run by the Everett Police Department.  However, we do have some tweets that we are providing.  I am unable to confirm if these tweets were part of the "54 deleted tweets".  We are also releasing the outlook .pst file of emails containing "tweet" and redaction withholding log.
We are asking for clarification on emails containing "twitter".  Our standard email signature contains the word twitter as a link to the Everett Police Department twitter account.  Due to this, almost all emails contain "twitter".  My initial search indicated over 9500 emails to review.  It is likely that most of these will not contain the records you are seeking.  Would you be able to provide any alternate search term that would help narrow the search?  Please respond by 9/6/2023.  If we do not receive a response by 9/6/2023, Everett PD will interpret your request to be abandoned and closed.
If we receive clarification, we estimate the next installment date to this request will be available on or before 9/6/2023.  If public records become available in advance of this estimate we will contact you promptly.  Conversely, if the Everett Police Department encounters a need to extend our estimate, we will contact you promptly with a revised estimated date.
Thank you for your patience in awaiting this information.

Hello Brent,

Sorry for the delay, I only just noticed this message since it has been nearly two years since I received the last response from EPD.

I am searching for all emails pertaining to the tweets posted on the EPOA account but at this point I think it may be easier to request the case file for the investigation into James Collier as pertains to the tweets. Would it be possible to get that as part of this request? I am also happy to open a new request.

Thanks,
Bridget

From: Everett Police Department

--- Please respond above this line ---

Good morning Bridget Brululo,
The investigation into James Collier was completed by the City of Everett Human Resources and not the Everett Police Department.  I would ask that you please submit a new request for the investigation report to the City.   When you click on "submit a request" in the public records center, you will want to choose "General City Request".
I interpret that this current request is now completed.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.  Thank you.
Sincerely,
