Pursuant to the Kansas Open Records Act (K.S.A. 45-215), I hereby request the following records:
Information related to the current bulk fuel contracts (gasoline, diesel, etc.) for Douglas County, KS. Documents would include; RFP that was used for current contract, Bid tabulations, Award, and amendments. If a fuel contract does not exist, please provide County fuel purchasing procedures.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for your open records request. Kansas state statute requires that we respond within three days, but doesn't require that the request be filled within three days. This email serves as our statutory response. I am attaching our agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation related to the fuel we buy from them and this statement below, as to our process, from our Public Works Director

Per terms of the agreement, KDOT is responsible for ordering and storing the fuel. We pay KDOT's vendor directly.

We also have an agreement for some bulk fuel purchases with CCO, and I am trying to secure a copy of that agreement. I will respond when I have that. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
