Pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
Purchase agreements and technical specifications related to any and all mobile automated speed enforcement cameras commonly placed alongside city streets in marked and unmarked vehicles.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The mobile cameras that are parked alongside the road in marked vehicles are owned by Gatso Inc. ( we do not have any cameras in unmarked vehicles.)
We pay a monthly service fee to Gatso but we don’t own any of the equipment.

While we understand that the City nor the Police Department owns this equipment, the contract surely specifies the number and types of units, including the model numbers of the RADAR antennas and cameras, that are provided under the contract. Please provide this information.

The “contract” provided, is only an addendum and/or renewal completed in 2019. It does not contain the originally requested information such as the model numbers of the antennas and cameras in use. Please provide the original contract and and other subsequent addendums and amendments.
