Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the police log for the past week (7 days).
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Mr. Musgrave,
I am looking to process your request for police logs for a seven day period (May 1st - 7th) and I am looking for clarification to what you actually need as the report could be lengthy. If you are looking for arrest logs, this report would be 2-3 pages. If you are looking for every event, this could be up to 25 pages. The full log only has a call heading with dates and times so I'm not sure if this is something you are interested in. The arrest log gives the charge and defendant information. The full log could be subject to a fee of .15 per page due to we need to print this log and scan it into an email to you. Please advise.
