Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am attempting to deconflict failure of City Councils past to adhere to appointment of qualified individuals owning real estate within City of Cortez at the time of appointment.

Ref to 6.01 - Planning and zoning commission.
(a) Planning and Zoning Commission Created. The City of Cortez Code, Article II creates an advisory board known as the planning and zoning commission ("planning commission" or "commission").
(b) Organization. The City of Cortez Code, Article II describes the organization, of the planning commission. (1) The commission consists of nine (9) members, five (5) members who are real estate owning, qualified, taxpaying electors of the city appointed by the city. The four remaining members shall be ex-officio members without vote and consist of the city manager, the zoning administrator, the city engineer and the mayor of the city council.

Sec. 4. - Appointment to boards and commissions.
The city council shall by resolution establish qualifications for appointment to city boards and commissions, except where such qualifications are elsewhere established by the city charter or the code of ordinances.
