According to documents released by the State of Tennessee, the Cookeville Police Department received $225,904 in funding awarded in 2022 from the Violent Crime Intervention Fund: https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/finance/ocjp/VCIF%20Funding%20Plan.pdf
Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, and reporting documents related to the $225,904 received as part of the 2022 Violent Crime Intervention Fund.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

Per our policy 205-1, Public Access to Police Records: Citizens requesting a copy of a public record will be required to show proof of a Tennessee citizenship, complete Public Records Form A, and provide any required payment before such copies will be provided. In an effort to expedite the process, an electronic version of the form can be downloaded at www.cookeville-tn.gov/police/.
