To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

I request the following documents pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act (“CORA”).
“All text messages between Jared Polis and AG Phil Weiser, texts between Jared Polis and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock related to the homeless encampment sweep/cleanup/abatement and/or ordinance enforcement, including but not limited to enforcement of DRMC s. 49-246, at or around Lincoln and Colfax on 7/29/20” . I am also requesting any other texts that Jared Polis sent or received with information about the “clean up” on 7/29/20. The date range I would like records from 3 days before and 3 days after 7/29/20.
Please provide the requested records for inspection and copying within three days of receipt of this letter. If possible, please provide the records via email or, if they are too large, on a flash drive, which I will pick up from you upon request. Please export all email files to PDF instead of email file.
As used in these requests, the term “document” should be read to include all records as defined in C.R.S. § 24-72-202(6)(a)(1) & 202(7) and in C.R.S. § 24-72-302(4). These records are not requested for commercial use.
If any data or information that is protected from release by applicable law is included within responsive documents that are not comprised entirely thereof, please redact and produce the remainder of the document pursuant to Ritter v. Jones, 207 P.3d 954, 960 (Colo. App. 2009) (“[W]here a single document contains both public and confidential information, it is appropriate to redact the confidential information prior to public inspection.”).
Please give me a call if you have any questions. You may invoice me for up to $25.00 of costs, or contact me for authorization if costs will exceed that amount.

Thank you,
David Hagan

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

David Hagan

Good Afternoon,

We received your Colorado Open Records Act request and have determined we
(OIT) are not the agency of record for this information. I have cc'd two
people with the Governor's Office who are better suited to handle your
request.

Thank you,

Michael McReynolds
