The New Hampshire Right to Know Law RSA 91-A:4 VI states “Every agreement to settle a lawsuit against a governmental unit, threatened lawsuit, or other claim, entered into by any political subdivision or its insurer, shall be kept on file at the municipal clerk's office and made available for public inspection for a period of no less than 10 years from the date of settlement.”
Pursuant to the New Hampshire Right to Know Law, specifically RSA 91-A:4 VI, I hereby request the file maintained at the clerk's office containing all settlement agreements as described above.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 days as required by the statute.

We have the Settlement Agreements for you to review per your Right To Know request. You may view them in the Town Clerk’s office during our regular business hours.
Hours: Monday and Wednesday 8:00-2:00 Tuesday and Thursday 10:00-6:00
If you desire copies, the cost is first 5 pages free and 50 cents for each additional page.

Can you please advise (approximately) how many pages we are looking at here so I can determine if paying for the copies is a feasible option? A rough estimate (10s, 100s, 1000s of pages) is fine just to ballpark the approximate cost.

Thank you for providing the opportunity to review the documents responsive to this request in person yesterday at the Town Hall. I have attached a PDF copy of the documents I reviewed for reference.
Upon review of the documents provided it was determined the file was incomplete. The settlement agreement from the United States District Court of Maine assigned case number 2:19-cv-00497-JAW was not included (See attached). Please provide this settlement agreement.
It has come to my attention that only (1) one of the settlements responsive to this request was "on file" at the Town Clerk's office and the remaining settlements were produced by the Town Administrator in response to this request. Therefore, the Town has not provided the Town Clerk's Office an opportunity to maintain all settlement agreements "on file" as required by the statute.
Please confirm that in the future the Town Administrator will provide all settlement agreements to the Town Clerk immediately and on an on going basis so that the Town Clerk's file remains updated and available for public inspection.
