Pursuant to North Carolina Public Records Law (G.S. ยงยง 132-1 through 132-10), I hereby request the following documents:
All materials regarding the removal of Jacob's New Dress from the Welcoming Schools / Child Abuse Prevention Month lesson plan at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools circa 21 March 2017, including (but not limited to) the initial teacher complaint, any communication to or from the state legislature, state legislators, or their staffs, internal discussions of this book or series of events, any statements by Board of Education members or relevant Board minutes, and any applicable CMS policies and procedures.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
